This nice couple doesn't work for me. They're just an example of some folks happy to be in a new home they can afford and out from under what had gone from their dream home to a burden. An all too common occurrence today. I wanted to start off with this photo because this is really what we are all about. Helping people solve what's sometimes called a real estate problem. Probably a finance problem is more correct but the homes so many of us could buy just a few years ago are now totally out of reach to so many. More than that the very homes we live in we often can no longer afford. People are downsizing and moving from ranch houses to condos, and from owning to renting. While we are all expecting things to recover to something resembling the world we knew 5 years ago we really don't know if those days will ever return. As far as the world of real estate finance is concerned I think it's probably best if we don't go back to the top of the bubble we had 5 years ago. I know you really just want some stability and a steady income with a decent roof over your head, just like me.
I'm Steve Webster, a local real estate investor who just a couple years ago was working a steady JOB for someone else in what was believed to be a very solid career field. I overnight found myself with a very uncertain future. In my desperation to figure out my new path in life I decided I had had enough of relying on a job and an employer and decided to take what little I then knew about real estate and began expanding on that and networking with, and learning from, other investors. Today I invest with others using their buying power to reach properties that would otherwise not be accessible to me alone.
Before I made that decision I had witnessed so many around me, family, friends, and co-workers struggling with their bills and even their relationships. As the stress of their problems ate away at their lives like a cancer. Divorce, foreclosure, and other hardships followed. Once I was free of my old job (as I now call it) and taking a new look at what to do with my life it all seemed too obvious that if I had only learned this stuff a year or two earlier how I may have been able to help others.
I now am able to make my living in real estate, which is great, but also I am able to help others with their problems in the process. If you have a "real estate problem" their are solutions, sometimes not as painful of ones as you might imagine. The only way to know is to look into it. Ask the questions and explore your options. Whatever you do DON'T wait around for someone else to provide the answer as you are not likely to enjoy the result. I'm no mortgage broker or financier by any means. I do know a few though. I can tell you that no one benefits from your suffering, not the bank, not the real estate professionals, not the state or county, not even the feds. Your loved ones especially don't want you to suffer another day with something that is avoidable.
